Information campaign on the education of the situation of refugees |

The public debate about refugees and asylum seekers is often highly emotional and susceptible to prejudices. The mission of the information campaign was to change this by creating awareness through the provision of information on the issue.

The EU-funded information campaign was composed of two parts: The first part was a preparation phase in which in-depth analyses on the public perception of this issue and the relevant target groups were prepared, while the second part consisted of conducting the information campaign itself in Germany. After identifying and mobilizing co-operation partners and sponsors, we organised a pop concert, information events with citizens, an exhibition and arranged the placing of TV and radio commercials and poster and print advertisements in the media.

Solution

By broadcasting spots on TV and radio we reached a large number of people and were able to contribute to the education of the public on this sensitive issue. The network of partners, which was created in the run of the campaign, formed a basis for keeping the issue on the political agenda.
